TAMAR G. ARMINAK
Tamar G. Arminak specializes in civil litigation, including business and employment litigation, and catastrophic personal injuries. Ms. Arminak has also allocated a portion of her practice to the private matters of her high profile clients, including family law litigation, conservatorships and contract matters.
Ms. Arminak has litigated matters against various major corporations and government entities, including multiple cases against banking giant Bank of America, Kaiser Permanente, pharmaceutical goliath Pfizer, McKesson drug company, the City of Santa Monica, the City of Orange, the City of Los Angeles, City of Commence, UCLA Regents, Farmers Insurance Company, Amtrak, Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad, Aladdin Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, Bernini Clothing, Allstate Insurance,POM Wonderful, Inc., KABBA Locks, SONY Trademark Division, CVS Drugstores, Medtronic Inc., Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, Mission Hospital of Laguna Beach and CIGNA Healthcare. Among her largest jury verdicts are verdicts against Orange County Sheriff’s Department and Bank of America, N.A.
Ms. Arminak has further successfully litigated several pharmaceutical mass torts and products liability cases, including wrongful deaths caused by defective drugs involving VIOXX, Celebrex, and Zyprexa. Ms. Arminak represented the parents of a deceased in a wrongful death unintended acceleration products liability suit against Toyota Motor Corporation.
Most recently, Ms. Arminak was honored to be invited by Harvard Law School to be a guest panelist at its annual Sports and Entertainment Law Symposium where she discussed representing famous and infamous clients in trouble with the law. In addition to her litigation practice, Ms. Arminak has been a guest legal expert on CNN, NBC, ABC, News Nation, the BBC and other networks, lending her legal expertise to a diverse area of the law. Ms. Arminak has contributed her gripping story to “Reaching the Bar: Stories of Women at all Stages of their Law Careers,” inspiring young women to defy the odds in reaching their own goals. Most notably, Ms. Arminak has been recognized as a Rising Star by Southern California’s Super Lawyers in 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2020; twelve years in a row.
Prior to co-founding Arminak Law in 2012, Ms. Arminak spent nearly eight years with the renowned law firm of Geragos & Geragos, APC, specializing in civil litigation and personal injury.
Ms. Arminak earned her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Legal Studies from Chapman University, where she also studied Russian Art History. She studied European History at the University of London, King’s College. Ms. Arminak earned her Juris Doctorate from Loyola Law School. She is admitted to practice in all State and Federal Courts in California, Nevada, and Arkansas, and has been admitted pro hac vice in Arizona and Pennsylvania.
